Outreach Activities

Residents of the Broadview Library District with impaired vision or physical difficulties that hamper reading can receive special library services through Voices of Vision.  VoV can provide audiobooks and special players through the mail.  If you, or someone you know, would benefit from this service, let us know and we will help get set up with the program.

The Library's Collection

The Broadview Public Library has a collection of over 75,000 items.  The collection includes books, CDs, DVDs, videos, audiobooks, CD-ROMs, newspapers and magazines.  During the library's fiscal year 2006-2007,  the library circulated over 105,000 items.

Community Spaces in the Library

The Broadview Public Library District provides a meeting room space for a variety of community groups.  Library users interested in using the room can find the Meeting Room Policy and Room Use Agreement Form on the library's policy page.

The Library also has a small Quiet Study Room.  Because of the room's small size, it is limited to one person at a time.  Check at the Circulation desk for more information about the Quiet Study room.

The Library has a small typing room for public use.  The room is very small and the use is limited to one person.  The typing room has one typewriter.  Individuals using the typing room must provide their own paper and typing supplies.  Check at the Circulation desk for more information about the typing room.
